We are committed to recognizing every veteran affiliated with the Coos Bay school district.  This is a daunting challenge since records of military service are not part of the District personnel file and many alumni serve without fanfare or public recognition.

We rely on information provided by family, friends, and classmates to build what we hope will be a complete and exhaustive database of veterans.

We are grateful for the progress made to date by several remarkable volunteers, including Gary Haliski, Cricket Soules and Debbie Brown's Advanced Placement US History classes.  We're linking to sites managed by the first two below.

We are anxious to collect information about any veteran who meets our affiliation criteria to begin the process of archiving.  This data will be used to prepare multi-media presentations at the Hall recognizing his service through reports, photographs, videos and audio recordings supplied by the veteran or his surviving family members.

Please start this process by opening the "Updated list of Affiliated Veterans and confirming inclusion in the Hall.  Then go to the data entry form and fill in as much information as possible.  Contact Mac McIntosh at piratecoach@gmail.com for questions or clarification.

Adding data to the veteran's record at Tribute Hall

1.  Click the "Updated list of Affiliated Veterans to confirm membership in the Hall.

2. Open the "Veteran's Data Entry Form" and provide as much information as possible.  If you have a copy of the veteran's DD-214, much of what we request is in that document.  You can also order a copy if you are the veteran or an immediate family member at the adjacent link.

3. Gather and scan photographs of the veteran in high school, in service uniform and with family.  Research any potential links to sites that provide additional details about the veteran's service and send the link(s) with the scanned photos through the "Contact us" link below.
